Pathsala, July 30 -- Two recent incidents in Assam's Pathsala, Bajali district, involving a daylight cash snatching and a rash driving accident, have raised concerns over public and road safety. Both incidents were captured on CCTV.

In the latest incident, motorcycle-borne snatchers allegedly stole Rs 5.40 lakh in cash from a man outside an HDFC Bank branch while he was on his way to deposit the money. The victim, Utpal Roy of Helona village, was targeted moments before entering the bank.

The accused fled with the cash on a motorcycle, and the incident was recorded on CCTV. Pathsala Police have started an investigation to identify and arrest the suspects.
