CJP leaders detained at Delhi airport ahead of Jantar Mantar protest
Guwahati, Oct. 10 -- Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained at Delhi airport as they arrived ahead of a protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The party has called for Kumar's resignation over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Delhi Police refused permission for the planned demonstration at Jantar Mantar, citing public interest and the lack of required approval.
