Guwahati, Oct. 11 -- Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka have been preventively arrested under Sections 126 and 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), the party's legal head Ratna Singh said.

The three were detained aboard a flight after it landed at Delhi airport on Saturday. Singh said they would be presented before an executive magistrate in Delhi Cantonment on Sunday.

The BNSS generally allows detention for up to 24 hours before a person is produced before a magistrate, unless special laws apply.
