CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke's grandmother dies in Maharashtra amid detention at Delhi airport
Guwahati, Oct. 10 -- The grandmother of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke died on Saturday at Santuk Pimpri village in Maharashtra's Hingoli district, amid uncertainty over whether he would be allowed to travel home to attend her last rites.
She had been suffering from a prolonged illness and age-related ailments for the past few days. She was the mother of Dipke's father, Bhagwan Dipke.
Dipke was in Delhi when he received news of his grandmother's death. He had left Mumbai on Saturday morning to participate in a protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar but was detained by Delhi Police at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).
