Agartala: The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) under the Union Ministry of AYUSH has accepted the Tripura government's application to establish a government Ayurvedic medical college and hospital at Udaipur in Gomati district with an intake capacity of 60 students from the 2026-27 academic session, Chief Minister Manik Saha said on Friday.

Sharing the development in a social media post, Saha said the proposal for setting up the Tripura Government Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital had been accepted by the commission.
