Guwahati, Aug. 24 -- The life and sacrifice of legendary Mising freedom fighter Shaheed Kamala Miri have been brought to the screen through the Assamese biographical feature Shaheed Kamala Miri: The Unsurrendered Soul, which premiered on 15th August 2026.

Directed and scripted by Bhawani Doley Tahu and produced by Manoranjan Doley under MRD Films Production House / Orchid Medical & Educational Trust, the film seeks to preserve the memory of a freedom fighter whose contribution to Assam's nationalist movement deserves wider recognition.
