Imphal, April 25 -- Tension prevailed in Ukhrul district on Saturday (April 25) after an Assam Rifles convoy allegedly forced its way through barricades set up by villagers at Talui village, with locals claiming that two civilians were injured in the incident.
According to locals, the convoy was travelling from Ukhrul headquarters around 1:00 pm when it encountered barricades erected by residents at the entrance of Talui. Villagers had reportedly set up these barriers to monitor vehicle movement amid the prevailing tense situation in the hill district.
