Guwahati, July 18 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the state has emerged as one of the top performers in NITI Aayog's Investment Friendliness Index, reflecting its growing reputation as an attractive destination for investors.

Sarma highlighted that Assam's progress has been driven by stable policies, improved infrastructure, a supportive business environment and better law and order conditions. He said these factors have helped create a favourable ecosystem for industries and businesses looking to invest in the state.
