India, March 24 -- In preparation for the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly Elections 2026, the District Election Officer of Bajali has constituted a District-Level Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the electoral process.

The order, issued recently, follows the guidelines laid down by the Election Commission of India for regulating political advertisements and monitoring media activities during elections.

According to the official notification, the committee will be headed by District Election Officer Partha Pratim Majumdar, IAS.
