Guwahati, April 25 -- In a major anti-narcotics operation, Assam police arrested four women ,including an alleged key courier-and seized a large quantity of heroin from Amingaon area in Guwahati on Saturday morning.

Police said, acting on specific intelligence input that a group of women couriers, reportedly led by a "notorious narcotics courier" identified as Demthang Haokip (36), was planning to deliver drugs in Amingaon for distribution across lower Assam, a team of Guwahati police launched an operation.
