India, Feb. 7 -- The Assam government will hand over the alleged Pakistan link case of Congress MP and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Gaurav Gogoi to the Centre for further investigation.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said this after a cabinet meeting held in Dispur on Saturday. He said the cabinet, after detailed deliberation on the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report probing the alleged Pakistan links of Gaurav Gogoi, decided to hand over the matter to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Chief Minister said the report submitted by the Assam Police regarding the alleged Pakistan links of Gogoi would be made public.
