Guwahati, Sept. 20 -- The Assam government has directed the immediate release of school teachers whose mutual transfer applications have been approved, following the completion of the first phase of the Census 2027, the School Education Department said on Sunday.

The directive follows the return of teachers temporarily deployed for census-related duties to their respective places of work. Officials have been asked to expedite the pending mutual transfer process so the teachers can join their new schools without further administrative delay.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu shared the order on social media, stating that teachers whose mutual transfers had been approved should be released to enable them to join their new places of posting. ...
