Assam floods hit Bokakhat again as Dhansiri inundates several areas
Guwahati, Aug. 9 -- Floodwaters from the rising Dhansiri River have affected several parts of Assam's Bokakhat sub-division, with families in inundated areas moving to relief camps as the region faces a second wave of flooding.
Assam Cabinet Minister and Bokakhat MLA Atul Bora visited the affected areas on Sunday to take stock of the situation and meet residents displaced by the floods.
Bora visited Kuruwabahi, Chinakan and Nagenapar, where rising water levels have affected several families. He also inspected relief camps and interacted with people who had been forced to leave their homes.
