Guwahati, Aug. 11 -- Seven districts of Assam remained affected by floods on Tuesday, with the number of affected people dropping to 1,12,718.

The overall situation improved slightly, with no new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, the latest bulletin said.

The year's flood-related death toll remains 101, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).

The latest assessment covers 441 villages located within 25 revenue circles across Golaghat, Sivasagar, Hojai, Jorhat, Darrang, Lakhimpur and Nagaon.

Golaghat has the highest number of flood-affected people at 65,295. Sivasagar has 18,494 affected people, while Nagaon has 16,321.
