Dibrugarh, Aug. 10 -- The Rotary Club of Dibrugarh visited flood-affected Maut Gaon in Assam's Sivasagar district on Sunday and distributed relief materials among local residents.

Around 250 beneficiaries received stainless steel utensils and other essential items. The team also distributed special nutrition packets for pregnant and lactating women and floor mats.

The Rotary Club of Dibrugarh said it was supporting people affected by the recent floods in Sivasagar and neighbouring districts.

"We have witnessed the devastation and seen how people were affected in the flood. Our Rotary International is always there to help the people," said Asim Kanti Adhikary, District Governor of Rotary International District 3240.
