Guwahati, April 10 -- Assam has achieved its highest-ever voter participation in the current Assembly election, with turnout reaching 85.38%, according to the Election Commission of India.
This figure has gone past the earlier peak of 84.67% recorded during the 2016 polls.
The development reflects a notable rise in electoral participation across the state, with voters showing strong engagement in different constituencies.
