North Lakhimpur, Oct. 31 -- A woman police constable posted at Bihpuria Police Station in Assam's Lakhimpur district has been attached to the Police Reserve in North Lakhimpur following allegations of her association with a suspected counterfeit currency racketeer.

Woman Lance Naik (WLNK) Dolly Pathak was attached to the Police Reserve by Lakhimpur Senior Superintendent of Police Gunendra Deka under Section 46 of the Assam Police Act, 2007, in the interest of public service.

The move followed the circulation of a video on social media purportedly showing Pathak dining and travelling with Mizanur Rahman, alias Mizu, a history-sheeter allegedly involved in counterfeit currency and fake gold transactions.
