Doomdooma, June 28 -- Police have arrested two more persons for allegedly providing logistical support to United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I), widening the investigation into a suspected militant plot that was foiled in Assam's Tinsukia district.

The arrests come days after Tinsukia Police apprehended two suspected ULFA(I) cadres who were allegedly planning indiscriminate firing and grenade attacks targeting civilians in Tinsukia town.

Acting on leads obtained during interrogation, investigators arrested Bitu Bora and Kalpa Bora, both residents of Panitola, for their alleged role in facilitating the planned operation.
