Assam: Roz Ali, prime accused in Nalbari Love Jihad case, injured in police encounter

Guwahati: A violent incident in Assam's Nalbari district has taken a serious turn after the main accused in the Gangapur attack case, Roz Ali, was injured during a police encounter in Mukalmua, officials said on June 1.
The case stems from a late-night assault on Saturday near Gangapur under Mukalmua, where two youths travelling on a scooter were attacked. Nineteen-year-old Madhurjya Barman, a resident of Balipathar in Chamata and office bearer of the West Nalbari Regional Students Union, died at the scene. The second victim, 17-year-old Mridumudra Deka, sustained critical injuries and is currently receiving intensive care at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
