Assam: Prime accused in Ghoramara firing case arrested in Dibrugarh
Dibrugarh, Aug. 8 -- Dibrugarh Police have arrested the prime accused, Dibya Jyoti Baruah, in connection with the July 21 firing and assault incident at Ghoramara under Assam's Chabua-Lahowal Assembly constituency.
The accused was apprehended with the assistance of Ghoramara Outpost and Lahowal Police and is currently being held at the Ghoramara Police Outpost.
According to police, Baruah is the main accused in the violent incident that unfolded on the night of July 21 following an altercation at a roadside dhaba in Lahowal over the parking of a vehicle. Following the dispute, the accused allegedly chased three youths who were travelling towards Dibrugarh on a motorcycle.
