Assam: Pathsala youth detained for allegedly posing as CBI officer in fraud case

Bajali: A case of alleged impersonation and fraud has been reported from Assam's Pathsala after a youth was caught posing as a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer.
The accused has been identified as Laxman Barua of Haripur, Pathsala. He allegedly created a fake CBI identity card using a computer and presented himself as a senior investigating officer.
According to reports, he used the false identity to influence people and claim access to government departments.
Investigators said the accused claimed he could arrange jobs in departments such as the Education Department, Assam Police and Navodaya Vidyalayas. Several fake appointment letters were recovered from his mobile phone...
