Assam: NCHAC Assembly passes Rs 1,232.56-crore Budget for 2026-27
Haflong, Aug. 4 -- The North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) Legislative Assembly on Tuesday passed a Budget of Rs 1,232.56 crore for the 2026-27 financial year at the end of its two-day special session.
NCHAC Chairman Mohet Hojai announced the passage of the Budget after the House approved the estimates presented by Executive Member in charge of Finance Donphainon Thaosen and following the concluding speech by Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa.
According to the Budget, the Assam government has allocated Rs 889.75 crore under Grant No. 77 to the council for 2026-27. The allocation includes Rs 296.81 crore under the State-Owned Priority Development (SOPD), Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and other heads, and Rs 592.94 cror...
