Guwahati, Aug. 6 -- Domestic LPG consumers in Assam have been advised to complete their Aadhaar-based electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification by August 16 to continue receiving subsidised cooking gas cylinders.

Public sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have made the e-KYC process mandatory for all domestic LPG consumers as part of a nationwide verification drive aimed at streamlining beneficiary records and preventing misuse of government subsidies.

Consumers who do not complete the verification by the stipulated deadline risk losing access to subsidised LPG refills and may have to purchase cylinders at the higher non-subsidised or commercial price.
