North Lakhimpur: In another incident raising concerns over the safety of migrant workers from Assam outside the state, a 30-year-old man from Lakhimpur district was found dead in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on May 3.
The deceased has been identified as Dhruba Jyoti Baruah, a resident of Bohupathar village under Narayanpur Police Station in Lakhimpur district. He was reportedly found lying on a railway track at Visakhapatnam (VSKP) railway station by personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Sunday.
According to family members, Baruah had boarded a train for home at around 11:45 pm on Friday. His phone was found switched off the following day.
