Guwahati, July 20 -- After years of functioning from an overcrowded administrative set-up, the Kamrup Metropolitan district administration is set to shift to a new Deputy Commissioner's office complex at Rupnagar, with the building expected to be inaugurated on August 15.

Constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs 81 crore, the new integrated administrative complex is designed to bring several district offices and public services under one roof, making it easier for citizens to access government services while reducing congestion at the existing DC office.
