Assam: IAS officer vacates Guwahati community hall after report on alleged personal use
Guwahati, Oct. 5 -- Assam-Meghalaya cadre IAS officer Manvendra Pratap Singh has vacated a government community hall in Guwahati that he was allegedly using to store his personal belongings.
The development came after Northeast Now reported on September 8 that Singh was continuing to use the community hall at the Forest Colony in Rehabari for personal storage.
Sources said Singh vacated the hall on September 29. He had reportedly been asked several times by the Assam Forest Department to remove his belongings from the facility.
Singh, a 2012-batch IAS officer currently serving as Commissioner of the Assam Transport Department, was earlier allotted accommodation at the Forest Colony in Rehabari.
