Assam: Human skull recovered from Jorhat dumping ground
Doomdooma, July 10 -- A human skull recovered from a municipal dumping ground in Assam's Jorhat district on Friday has triggered a police investigation, with authorities examining whether it was an anatomical specimen improperly discarded by a medical or educational institution before entering the city's waste stream.
The skull was discovered by sanitation workers while unloading garbage from a municipal waste collection vehicle at the dumping site. Police and the district administration were immediately informed, following which officials, including the Circle Officer, reached the spot and launched an inquiry.
