India, Feb. 26 -- The discovery of a hidden camera in the bathroom of a girls' hostel at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati campus in Jalukbari, has sparked concern among students, prompting a police investigation.

The device was reportedly noticed on Tuesday when a student spotted a suspicious object while using the hostel bathroom. Upon closer inspection, it was found to be a concealed camera. The incident led to unrest among students, who demanded immediate action and accountability from the institute to safeguard their privacy and security.

TISS authorities have since lodged a First Information Report (FIR), and Guwahati Police have initiated an investigation.
