Guwahati, July 7 -- Guwahati DCP (Traffic) has issued fresh guidelines for Green Bus operators, directing drivers to maintain lane discipline, avoid overtaking, and comply with traffic regulations. Meanwhile, the Kamrup (Metropolitan) district administration has cancelled the licences of 63 Green Bus drivers for traffic violations.

Under the new directives, Green Buses will have to operate only on the left lane of the road and drivers have been prohibited from overtaking other vehicles. Authorities have warned that any bus found violating traffic norms will be removed from the road for seven days.
