Guwahati: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Gaurav Gogoi on Friday alleged that the country has entered a fresh phase of price rise following the end of election-related relief measures, targeting the Central government over fuel and LPG prices.
In a Facebook post, Gogoi said, "Election relief is over, the real phase of price rise has begun," accusing the government of temporarily easing public burden during elections and later shifting the cost onto citizens.
He referred to remarks by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, who had warned that petrol, diesel and other fuel prices would increase after April 29.
