Bajali, April 24 -- The Food Safety Department on Friday carried out a joint inspection drive at meat shops in Pathsala Market, uncovering multiple violations of hygiene and safety norms.
The operation was conducted with support from the district police, the District Veterinary Office, the Pathsala Municipal Board and the Legal Metrology Department. Several establishments were inspected for compliance with food safety regulations.
Officials said seven domestic LPG cylinders were seized from two shops, raising concerns over their unauthorised use for commercial purposes.
