Guwahati, Sept. 15 -- Ahead of the memorial programme for late singer Zubeen Garg at Zubeen Kshetra on September 19, the Assam State Drivers' Union has announced a special transport initiative to facilitate the movement of people attending the event.

Under the initiative, members of the Assam Commercial Drivers' Association along with registered drivers will provide cab services to visitors at minimum fares on the day of the memorial programme.

The initiative has been launched as a mark of respect for Zubeen Garg and is aimed at making transportation more accessible for mourners and others travelling to the venue.
