Doomdooma, Sept. 20 -- Six years after the anti-CAA protests in Assam's Doomdooma, the town saw another large gathering on Saturday evening, this time for Zubeen Divas following the death of singer Zubeen Garg.

Thousands gathered at Gandhi Chowk for the programme. Shops and business establishments remained closed, traffic movement slowed and the town's main commercial centre became a place for people to pay tribute to the singer.

The gathering was among the largest seen in Doomdooma since the anti-CAA movement in 2019, with people from different age groups and sections of society taking part.
