Guwahati, July 10 -- Sivasagar Police have arrested Kirtikamal Dev Goswami, son of Sachindradev Goswami, the Deka Satradhikar of Sri Sri Salaguri Satra, in connection with an alleged sexual abuse case involving a 19-year-old male Bhaona artist.

Police said the accused was taken into custody late on Wednesday after nearly seven hours of questioning. The arrest followed a First Information Report (FIR) lodged by the complainant.

According to the FIR, the complainant alleged that he was subjected to repeated sexual abuse, physical assault and mental harassment by the accused from the time he was 15 years old.
