Bajali: Concerns are growing over food hygiene, quality, and pricing at several restaurants in Assam's Pathsala, a major stopover for travellers and commuters.
Many visitors who stop for meals while passing through the area have reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of food being served. Customers allege that some restaurants are charging high prices while providing poor-quality food.
Although certain restaurant owners have cited rising costs of essential commodities and commercial LPG cylinders as reasons for increasing menu prices, consumers argue that the quality and quantity of food do not justify the rates being charged.
