Guwahati, Aug. 11 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on August 10 visited Guwahati Science City in Sonapur to take stock of ongoing construction and review plans for its next phase.

The Science City, spread over more than 150 bighas, is currently undergoing additional development work following its formal inauguration earlier this year. Sarma said he hoped the entire project would be completed by March 2027.

The Chief Minister announced that the state government would provide an additional Rs 100 crore for infrastructure and facilities aimed at improving the experience for visitors.
