Guwahati: Marking World Environment Day 2026, waste management organisation Binbag conducted a series of awareness and e-waste collection initiatives across Assam, engaging students, communities and institutions in environmental conservation activities.

As part of the campaign, the organisation collected over five tonnes of e-waste during the past seven days.

Binbag, in collaboration with Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), organised an e-waste collection drive at the NRL Township. The programme included awareness sessions and student engagement activities aimed at promoting proper disposal of electronic waste.
