Assam: Bajali MLA takes up pothole repairs on Indo-Bhutan Road
Bajali, Sept. 3 -- Bajali MLA Dharmeswar Roy raised concerns about the condition of the Indo-Bhutan Road in Assam's Pathsala and questioned why road repairs are often carried out only after an accident takes place.
The MLA took up repair work on a damaged stretch of National Highway 127, the Pathsala-Bhutan international road, located in front of the BJP office in Bajali.
The stretch has reportedly developed several deep potholes, raising concerns about road safety.
During rainfall, the potholes fill with water, making them difficult for motorists to identify and increasing the risk of accidents.
Despite regular use of the road by commuters, no immediate repair work had reportedly been carried out on the stretch for a long time.
