Assam: Ashok Singhal inaugurates new hospital building in Pathsala, raises mental health concerns
Pathsala, Aug. 15 -- Assam Health Minister Ashok Singhal expressed concern over the growing prevalence of mental health problems in India, stressing the need for greater awareness and proper healthcare support.
The minister made the remarks during a meeting held after the inauguration of the newly constructed building of Swahid Madan Rowta Civil Hospital in Pathsala, Bajali district.
Singhal also pointed to the growing use of social media and the decline in outdoor activities as factors that may contribute to mental health problems, particularly among young people.
