India, March 3 -- The Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) on Monday demanded a high-level inquiry into alleged irregularities in the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE), claiming that fraudulent appointments in posts reserved for tea tribe and Adivasi communities have exposed serious lapses in the recruitment process.

Addressing the media, AJP president Lurinjyoti Gogoi described the alleged use of fake documents by certain candidates to secure jobs under reserved categories as "unfortunate and deeply concerning." He said the rights of the tea tribe and Adivasi communities could not be compromised.
