Guwahati, April 14 -- On the occasion of Goru Bihu, Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) president Lurinjyoti Gogoi on Tuesday called upon the people of the state to reaffirm their commitment to economic self-reliance and cultural unity.

In his message, Gogoi said the festival carries deeper significance beyond celebration, emphasising the need to strengthen indigenous identity and build a self-sustaining society rooted in tradition. He expressed hope that the spirit of Rongali Bihu would inspire renewed energy and collective resolve among the people.
