North Lakhimpur: The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has accepted in principle a proposal submitted by North Lakhimpur University (NLU) Vice Chancellor Mukul Chandra Bora for the inclusion of Environmental Humanities in higher education curricula across the country.

The decision was communicated through a letter issued by AIU Secretary General Pankaj Mittal on June 5 following deliberations at the 100th Annual General Body Meeting of the AIU held at D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth in Pune on April 30.

As part of the decision, the AIU will circulate the proposal among its member universities to seek feedback, suggestions and recommendations before considering a broader policy framework.
