Haflong, July 26 -- The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) on Saturday inaugurated a floodlighting system at the ACA Cricket Stadium in Umrangso, Dima Hasao, enabling the venue to host day-night matches and expand cricketing activities in the hill district.

The facility was inaugurated by Dima Hasao Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa in the presence of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia, who attended the event as the guest of honour.

According to the ACA, the floodlights will allow the stadium to host day-night matches, improve training facilities and provide greater opportunities for domestic and competitive cricket in the region.
