Guwahati: The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) has flagged issues in the implementation of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) in Assam.

The organisation alleged that inadequate infrastructure, shortage of faculty, and policy ambiguities have left thousands of students facing academic uncertainty.

In a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday, AASU sought urgent government intervention to prevent what it described as a potential crisis in higher education.

AASU expressed concern over the research component in the fourth year.
