Dibrugarh, Aug. 31 -- The Save Taksing-Save Arunachal Movement Committee (STSAM) staged a protest dharna at IG Park in Itanagar, raising concerns over the reported presence and activities of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) in the Taksing sector of Arunachal Pradesh.

STSAM, a civil society group formed to raise concerns over alleged Chinese intrusion in Arunachal Pradesh, called for immediate steps to address the situation and strengthen security along the international boundary.

The committee demanded the withdrawal of Chinese forces from areas it claims are under occupation, time-bound demarcation of the international boundary, improved border connectivity and the creation of a dedicated Arunachal Regiment in the Indian Army.
