Guwahati, May 11 -- The Arunachal Pradesh government has undertaken a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring several senior IAS and IRS officers and assigning new key portfolios and additional duties with immediate effect.

In addition to his present duties, IRS officer Sonam Chombay has been assigned the additional responsibility of Commissioner (Planning), under an order issued by the Department of Personnel on May 9.

Chombay has been given the responsibilities of Power (Electrical) and Land Management in addition to his current roles as Commissioner to the Chief Minister and Commissioner for Hydropower. He also got relieved of the charge of Geology and Mining.
