Arunachal: Landslide blocks Zemithang-Tawang road
Tezpur, Sept. 3 -- A landslide has blocked the Zemithang-Tawang road near Shakti village in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang district, disrupting connectivity in the remote border region.
The blockage occurred on the road linking Zemithang with Tawang, near the India-China border. Details on the extent of the landslide, its impact on vehicular movement and restoration efforts were not immediately available.
Shakti is a remote border village in the Zemithang circle, inhabited by local communities as well as yak-grazing communities. The area lies in the strategically sensitive frontier region.
