Dibrugarh: A two-day public awareness and community engagement programme on the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP) was conducted across the villages of Pangkang in Arunachal Pradesh as part of efforts to strengthen regional understanding of the proposed project.

The outreach programme was held on May 25 at Jorkong and on May 26 at Kumku, drawing participation from multiple villagers and households.

Organisers said the initiative centred on discussions related to infrastructure, regional development and community welfare associated with the protest.
