Guwahati, Aug. 28 -- The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has asked the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) to follow the state government's recently issued eligibility rules for direct recruitment to Group A, B and C posts.

The demand was made in a letter sent to the APSSB Chairman after the Department of Administrative Reforms & Training issued its notification on August 26.

According to AAPSU, the notification gives formal shape to its long-standing demand that direct recruitment candidates must possess a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate and proficiency in an Indigenous Tribal Language.
