India, July 22 -- Children in Yemen are facing worsening hunger as soaring fuel and food prices, driven by months of regional instability and disruptions to key trade routes, push already vulnerable families deeper into crisis, according to a new assessment by Save the Children.

The humanitarian organisation said rising costs have followed prolonged disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, increasing transport expenses and restricting fuel supplies.
